Hours and Admission
Choose from three ways to explore Split Rock Lighthouse! Each ticket includes the exhibit gallery, a 13-minute movie about the construction of Split Rock Lighthouse, and access to the trails around the lightstation.
Grounds pass
This self-guided experience gives you access to the visitor center, historic grounds, and fog signal building. A printed visitor guide and onsite signage will lead you around the site, highlighting history and trails to historic buildings. (Does not include access to the lighthouse or keeper's house).
General admission
Explore all of the buildings, including the lighthouse, and the grounds at your own pace. Staff stationed within the keeper’s house and lighthouse will help you navigate the site, along with a printed visitor guide, highlighting the fascinating history of Split Rock Lighthouse and the people who once lived there.
Keeper's Tour
Experience the site like the keepers and their families did and immerse yourself in their stories. This private 60-minute guided tour of the historic site includes the lighthouse and keeper’s house, plus general admission access. Limit of 10 people per tour. This tour is offered Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 9:00 am.
Conquering the Cliff Tour
Learn about the challenges people faced while building and living on the isolated cliff that is home to Split Rock Lighthouse. During this 60-minute guided tour, visitors will explore what it took to build, supply, and reside at the light station during its first 24 years of operation. It wasn’t a quick trip to the grocery store! This tour is offered daily at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. Please note that this tour includes some unpaved paths and stairs that are not ADA accessible.
