Visitor Amenities


  • A store is located in the DuPuis House and has gifts and souvenirs for all ages and interests. Items include history-themed toys, collectibles, posters and historic reproductions. Browse books on a variety of subjects, including biographies of Henry Hastings Sibley and histories of Minnesota's fur trade and American Indians. Snacks are also available.
  • A selection of our products is available for sale online.


  • Snacks are sold in the museum store.


  • The historic site is accessible to visitors with limited mobility, but some buildings and areas are not easily accessible to individuals in wheelchairs.
  • Visitors with limited mobility may drive to the historic site after paying admission.
  • Please call ahead to ask questions about access for individuals with limited mobility.
  • Please call ahead for sign language interpreters.


  • Free parking is available on site and along Sibley Memorial Highway/Highway 13.

Lost and Found

  • Please check with staff in the DuPuis House for lost and found items.

First Aid

  • Kits are available in all public buildings. AED's available in the DuPuis House and the Sibley House.

Service Animals

  • Service animals, such as guide dogs, are permitted to assist visitors.


  • Pets are not allowed.
