Your Minnesota Legacy

"In our rapidly changing world, it is important that people understand and appreciate our history. Historic sites provide an educational and entertaining link to the past, and the Society's historic sites program is one of the best in the nation. We created our endowed fund to assist the Society in helping future generations discover Minnesota's history through these special places. I hope that others will join us in this effort."- Richard DeLeo, member and champion of historic sites

Minnesota’s historic sites are each unique treasures, telling different stories about our state’s political, military and social history. Individuals and families who appreciate these landmarks, their structures and natural landscapes, have a tremendous opportunity to help the Society preserve the sites that have been entrusted to our care and help us share their history with all who visit.

The Minnesota Historical Society’s endowment program provides donors with a wonderful opportunity to create a permanent legacy in their names or in memory or honor of others. Endowment gifts, current and deferred, provide a reliable source of annual income for programs, educational opportunities, exhibits, maintenance, building projects, acquisition and conservation of artifacts, and other activities that enhance the work and mission of the site.

Every gift is important. Together, these gifts will significantly improve the Society's work at our 26 historic sites and museums and ensure they remain strong and vital places for future generations.
