Field Trips

During the multi-year repair and restoration work of the State Capitol building, concluding in 2017, our hands-on education programs are suspended. The 45-minute general tour will continue to be available for school groups on a limited basis and is free with reservations. Please check back for updates.

Field Trip Options

General Tour

Students explore the capitol's history and the workings of state government. While restoration work has closed major spaces in the building, the House and Senate chambers remain open for visitors. Reservations are required for groups of 15 or more, and must be made two weeks in advance.
