The James J. Hill House is handicapped accessible except for the basement boiler room and backyard hillside. The site has a ramped entrance, elevator and accessible restrooms.
Parking is available on Summit Avenue and adjacent streets. The area immediately in front of the site on Summit Avenue is designated 2-hour parking for visitors.
A small gift store is available at the first floor ticket desk. The store features books and items related to the historic site, James J. Hill and the railroads, current gallery exhibits and the history of the surrounding neighborhood.
There is no dining facility on site.
We do not have strollers available, however strollers are permitted on tours.

Service animals such as guide dogs are permitted. Pets are not allowed.
The site is equipped with both first aid kits and AEDs. Please see a staff person for assistance. All managers are trained in first aid/CPR/AED use.
